This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone iPad fix!

This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iPhone?

My wife and daughter have iPhones and an iPad.  After the iOS 7 update our charging cables stop working.  Come to find out that there are two possible reasons for this:

1)  Apple is trying to protect users from inferior equipment.
or
2)  Money!  -- The bloodsuckers at Apple are making their loyal customers buy overpriced original cords that are "Lightning certified" and that means Apple gets paid!

I have an Android and you can buy any cable you want from any company.  It is just a wire...  I would bet it costs about the same to actually make as an Apple cord about $2.00 ...
Relax, there are two ways to fix it.

A)  The hard way

  1. Turn on the USB power.

  2. Plug in the cheap cable to your iPad or iPhone.

  3. Dismiss the warnings.

  4. Unlock your iPhone or iPad.

  5. Dismiss more stupid warnings.

  6. Now with the screen turned on.

  7. Unplug the cheap cable.

  8. Plug it back in.

  9. Dismiss even more stupid warnings.

  10. It should charge now.

B)  The easy way.

  1. Take your iPhone, put it on the ground.

  2. Stomp on it as hard as you can, then go buy an Android phone
