Micah Moore is trying to get off by "Corpus delicti". I am not a lawyer but after doing research, here is what I found out. This is a legal rule that the defendant's prior confession, alone, is insufficient evidence to prove the defendant's guilt beyond reasonable doubt. Hmm. This seems like a desperate plea and just grasping at straws to me. There seems to be a mountain of evidence supporting Micah Moore's confession including the body of Bethany Deaton. "The best and easiest evidence establishment in these cases is the physical body of the deceased. However, in the event that a physical body is not present or has not yet been discovered, it is possible to prove a crime took place if sufficient circumstantial evidence is presented to prove the matter beyond a reasonable doubt.[3] For example, the presence at a missing person's home of spilled human blood, identifiable as that person's, in sufficient quantity to indicate exsanguination, demonstrates — even in the absence of a corpse — that the possibility that no crime has occurred, and the missing person is merely missing, is not reasonably credible."
Wow. Umm, I thought Bethany Deaton's body WAS found in the van by Longview Lake, exactly the way Micah Moore described that he performed the murder? Have people forgotten what has happened? Maybe the thought from his lawyer all along was to just drag this out until people forgot. Don't ever forget and let Bethany Deaton's killer go free!

The jury trial for March has been cancelled and is now going to be in November of 2014. What is going on here, Bethany Deaton lost her life possibly at the hands of Micah Moore. How does this keep getting dragged out in the court system! Maybe he has a really good lawyer or his family knows someone in the courts system! All of this time this suspected murdered is roaming around free?
