Protesters hurled petrol (gas) bombs and Molitov Cocktails in central Athens, Greece  after an anti-government rally turned into violence.

Riot police used tear gas and pepper spray to osubdue demonstrators after the violence near the parliament.

The strike closed some schools and disrupted flights in and out of Athens.
